WHO: KAID Health, an AI-powered health care data analysis and provider engagement platform to optimize care quality and reimbursement, is attending RISE West, the premier Medicare Advantage senior leadership conference.
WHAT: At RISE West 2022, Kevin Agatstein, CEO, KAID Health, will be in attendance to discuss how their technology allows providers to profit from delivering more informed coordinated care. Its Natural Language Processing (NLP)-centric Whole Chart Analysis solution integrates with the electronic medical record to identify high-value tactical care and coding interventions. The solution pushes identified gaps into the provider’s workflow, making it easy for them to intervene appropriately. At the same time, the system can financially reward providers for their timely completion of assigned tasks. To continue to fuel the growth of its solution, KAID Health announced its $4.25 million Series A funding on May 24, 2022. The financing was led by prominent healthcare IT investors, including Activate Venture Partners and Martinson Ventures. Boston Millenia Partners, Brandon Hull, Howard Landis, and KAID Health’s Board of Directors also participated.
Kevin can also speak to the results of their recent “doctor vs. artificial intelligence” study that validated the potential utility of its NLP technology to improve provider efficiency and care quality. In the peer-reviewed paper, KAID Health’s NLP technology greatly aligned with the clinician reviewers in completing a pre-operative checklist, and further was able to identify 16.6% of instances where the presence or absence of a specific condition was not found by the anesthesiologist. The research study was undertaken at UCSD’s Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Perioperative Informatics.
